Annual “Mother of Counties” Spring Banquet

The members of the Lawrence County Historical Society invite you to their annual “Mother of Counties” banquet.

It will be held March 11th at the Mabee/Gwinup Cafeteria Building on the Williams Baptist College Campus. It will start at 6:30 p.m. and will cost $10.00 per person. You may also wish to pay your annual LCHS membership dues at the same time for an additional $10.00.

Fresh Ideas Catering will provide a meal consisting of an Oriental Chicken Salad with a variety of dressings, wheat dinner rolls, butter, cheese cake with strawberry topping and tea & water as beverages.

Lisa Perry, the new Director of the newly opened Northeast Arkansas Regional Archive facility at Powhatan will be a featured speaker.

We will also review the past year’s activity and provide an overview of upcoming efforts of the society. With the 200th anniversary of the counties birthday coming up in 2015 we are in the beginning stages of planning for that event. We are also beginning to look for a place for a museum in Walnut Ridge to showcase our county and cities unique history and heritage.

You may also purchase a Mother of Counties history book at the banquet. For $55.00

RSVP: NLT noon on March 8th so we can provide the caterer with a headcount. RSVP to info@lchsar.org
