NEARA holds Grand Opening

The NorthEast Arkansas Regional Archives (NEARA) held its long-awaited grand opening on March 3rd, 2011, with hundreds of guests in attendance. NEARA is a resource center for historical research, dedicated to the purpose of collecting and preserving primary source materials that bring together the unique history, culture, and heritage of northeast Arkansas. A branch of the Arkansas History Commission (State Archives), NEARA is located at 11 Seventh Street, Powhatan, Arkansas, in Powhatan Historic State Park.
